visual abuse is an independent production company that creates high quality promos for up and coming bands - from idea to broadcast-ready digi beta. Formed by directors ray moody and yan hammond, the pair have worked together for 10 years in the UK ’s cutting edge visual effects industry, previously for Oscar-winning London facility Mill Film as motion control operators. During this time they compiled an illustrious list of credits including films like Saving Private Ryan and the first four Harry Potter films. They have also worked on over 600 commercials and promos for bands as diverse as Nine Inch Nails and Steps as well as award-winning promos for George Michael and Radiohead and more recently Keane, The Futureheads, Audio Bullies and Kate Bush.

This experience has created a wide circle of industry contacts, providing access to the latest equipment and studios, helping them to facilitate the production of promos of all scales.

Over the past eighteen months visual abuse has concentrated on projects for new bands Panic Cell and Second Sun, making three 35mm promos for each and live dv clips for the bands’ websites.

The second promo for Panic Cell for the track Save Me, became the most voted for promo in the history of the rock satellite channel Scuzz, remaining in the top ten for eighteen weeks and at number one for six weeks.
